Hotel "JURATE"

The incredible pinewood, the highest dunes, the Baltic sea, the Curonian Bay-this is what the Curonian Spit is… Such a splendid harmony of colours and beauty of nature, you can not find anywhere else in the world.

The poets and writers, who had been here, the Nobel Prize laureate T. Mann, poets A. Voznesenskis, E. Matusevičius and many others, were describing the Curonian Spit with great fascination. The German expressionist group called “Brucke” has developed and become famous here. This place has always been inspiring the artists of this century also.

Hotel “Jūratė“ had already existed as a post-office inn a few centuries ago. Since 1807 it had been known by the name of “Queen Luiza”. The chronicles of that time tell us, that on one night of January 1807, the Prussian Queen Luiza had stayed here when she was trying to escape the chase of the French army.

Today it is one of the magnificent and most attended hotels in the area. Hotel “Jūratė“ is situated in the centre of Nida, close to the Curonian Bay. The hotel can host about 200 guests at a time. Most of the rooms are doubles, with all the facilities. There is a conference hall, restaurant, bakery, library, gallery, internet, laundry, sauna, massage, barber’s shop, bicycle rent at your service.

The hotel is open year-round.
